Are you considering cataract surgery? There are many questions you should consider when making this decision. A prime candidate for surgery displays many symptoms, including:

  • Blurry vision.
  • Colors seem faded.
  • Poor night vision.
  • Frequent prescription changes in glasses or contact lenses.

Cataract surgery is a procedure used to remove the natural lens in the eye when it becomes clouded and replace it with an artificial lens in order to restore clear vision. Cataract removal is one of the most common operations performed in the United States and is also considered among the safest and most effective surgeries performed.

We offer both phacoemulsification and standard extracapsular cataract extraction surgeries. Phacoemulsification, or small-incision surgery, uses ultrasound to break up the waves in pieces. This is the most common method of surgery for cataracts. Standard extracapsular cataract extraction carefully removes the lens in one piece. Both procedures are considered outpatient surgery.

Our surgeons are ready to assist you on your journey back to clear vision. Talk with your eye care provider about touring our facility.
