Hospital Based Contract Services
Val Verde Regional Medical Center (VVRMC) contracts with various physician groups to provide hospital based services for patients. Each of these groups has a strong clinical reputation among local, regional and national medical communities. We partner with these doctors in order to offer high-quality clinical care for our patients.
It is important to realize that these physicians are independent contractors and that patients who receive services from them will be billed separately from the hospital. While the medical groups that make up our hospital-based services are contracted with most major health insurances, it is always a good idea to double-check before you come to VVRMC.
The ED has a contract physician group (EmCare). The ED medical director is Daron Olmsted and the regional medical director is Gregory Roth. Emergency medicine practice is provided by Level 5 Healthcare. They are a joint venture between GHEP of Houston and Dallas based Questcare and practice in the San Antonio area. They provide emergency practice to Northeast Methodist Hospital, Metropolitan Methodist Hospital and Methodist Stone Oak Hospital as well.
