Heart Health Care at VVRMC

Heart Health Care at Val Verde Regional Medical Center (VVRMC) is open and ready to serve your interventional cardiology needs. Just about everything short of open heart surgery can now be covered right here at home. You will no longer have to spend money and valuable time traveling out of town for heart care.

Interventional cardiology is a subspecialty of cardiology dealing specifically with catheter-based treatment of heart diseases. Physicians use these catheters (small tubes) to get inside blood vessels in order to repair damaged vessels and other heart structures. It is a nonsurgical method used to treat heart and vascular problems. VVRMC has a catheter lab staffed with highly skilled, trained professionals ready to assist our interventional cardiologists in performing these procedures. Because it is a non-invasive modality, there is less risk involved and a shorter recovery time.

Heart Health Care at VVRMC includes around-the-clock availability of interventional cardiologists, access to our state-of-the-art catherization lab and an excellent cardiac rehabilitation program. Call 830.778.3696 for more information or to make an appointment.
