Val Verde Regional Medical Center recognizes needs often go beyond just tending to a person's physical/medical concerns. We offer a team of committed, volunteer chaplains coordinated by the Spiritual Care Coordinator, Lindsey Ward to help meet spiritual and emotional needs. Whether you are a patient, family member or friend, our chaplains are respectful of all faith traditions and are available to listen, provide counsel and bring a sense of God’s presence into a situation as desired. This support is freely offered and may be accepted or declined at any time as the hospital respects the diversity and religious beliefs of the community we serve. As requested, the chaplains will contact and make arrangement to be visited by clergy or a spiritual leader from outside of the hospital. The office of the chaplains may be contacted by phone at 830.703.2253
VVRMC also has a chapel (pictured below) where visitors, patients and staff may find a private moment to pray or meditate. It is located near the Mary L. Pierce HOPE Cancer Resource Room.
