"The best little gift shop in Del Rio" is located in the main hospital lobby and is operated by the Val Verde Regional Medical Center Auxiliary. This exceptional group of volunteers donates over 600 hours a month to the gift shop operation. The proceeds from their efforts are gifted to the hospital for the purchase of equipment and to offer scholarships for local youth pursuing medical careers.
Twice a year, leaders from the Auxiliary attend the Atlanta and Chicago gift markets to stock the shelves with unique items from around the globe. Name brands such as Willow Tree, Stephan Baby, Delton Fine Collectibles and American Legacy Jewelry line the shelves at modest prices. You will also find a variety of balloons, greeting cards and snacks for those on the go. Sidewalk sales (main lobby area) are hosted throughout the year to make room for new seasonal merchandise.
