Jason and Maggie Falkner had no intention of delivering their first born baby here at Val Verde Regional Medical Center; but after their fantastic experience, they would not have chosen any other hospital!

Jillian Marie Falkner was born on January 3, 2016 at 9:12 am. She was 6 pounds 10 ounces and 19 inches long. Maggie Falkner was scheduled for an inducement in a hospital in San Antonio but realized that she was not going to make it when her contractions went from seven minutes apart to only two very quickly. "When we arrived at VVRMC, the staff had a good sense of urgency, especially after finding out baby Jillian was breached." Said Maggie Falkner.

Dr. Chartrand performed an emergency C-section and the Falkner's felt that it was the best experience possible. "I am from Las Angeles and use to hospitals taking hours to see patients but once we walked in through those doors, we were in route to have our baby! Everyone has had such great bed side manner which was really surprising for us. The staff has been very responsive on providing us with education, Darcy even gave us a checklist to go by." Said father, Jason Falkner.

Jason Falkner is a Staff Sergeant for the United States Air force and works as an administrator. Maggie Falkner is a contracted administrator for Laughlin Air force Base.
