Val Verde Regional Medical Center hires new administration and physician

Val Verde Regional Medical Center would like to welcome to their team a new Pediatric physician, Dr. Jose Nodar, a Chief Nursing Officer, Linda Rittermeyer, and a Vice President of Operations, Rhonda Crawford.

Dr. Jose Nodar is originally from Cuba, is fluent in English and Spanish and has practiced in Florida for over 25 years. Along with being Board Certified in Pediatrics, he has been awarded the "Best Doctor in America," "Florida's Best Doctor," and "America's Most Compassionate Doctor." His office will be located at Amistad Medical Professionals located at 1801 Bedell Avenue and he is now accepting appointments.

Linda Rittermeyer, Chief Nursing Officer, joins the VVRMC team with over twenty five years of healthcare experience. Rittermeyer was an Associate Chief Nursing Officer for HCA Methodist Hospital in San Antonio, TX before joining VVRMC and has served as a Chief Nursing Officer in hospitals in Missouri and Kentucky. She has a Master’s in Business Administration/Healthcare Administration from Marylhurst University in Oregon.

Rhonda Crawford has recently joined VVRMC executive team as the Vice President of Operations. Rhonda brings more than 20 years of healthcare administration and clinical experience to this role, having served the last six years in a non-profit community-based health system in Northern California, as Administrative Director of Ancillary Services and the last two years as Vice President and Assistant Administrator. Crawford holds a Master in Management-Healthcare Administration from Troy University in Troy Alabama.

Dr. Nodar, Rittermeyer, and Crawford look forward to working with the VVRMC team to meet the needs of patients in Del Rio and surrounding areas, and becoming actively involved in the community.
