The intensive care unit (ICU) at Val Verde Regional Medical Center (VVRMC) is a seven-bed unit. Like the medical surgical unit, the ICU provides care for patients of all ages. Patients who are more critically ill and require constant monitoring and adjustments are treated in the ICU. There are several health care professionals caring for each patient to ensure that the patient gets the care he or she needs. These professionals are specially trained to administer critical care and can quickly make decisions for their patients to keep them comfortable and stable.
VVRMC also has a special procedures unit. Our special procedures unit is equipped with the latest technology and state-of-the-art equipment, which our highly trained staff, members and physicians use to diagnose and treat various diseases. Our staff uses the equipment to produce sharper images that lead to a more accurate diagnosis and provide a more effective treatment.
